Each event in your app can show an Organiser. This is the name, email and phone number of the person attendees should contact about that event. You can create as many organisers as you need and choose a different one for each event, so the contact details always match whoever is running it.
In short: you don’t edit the contact details on the event itself. You create an organiser once, then select it from the Organiser dropdown when you create or edit an event.
How to Create an Organiser
- In the dashboard sidebar, go to Events.
- Along the top, click the Organisers tab.
- Click the Add Item button (top right).
- Enter the organiser’s Name, Email and Phone.
- Save. The new organiser now appears in the list.
Repeat this for every person or ministry that runs events, such as “Youth Ministry”, “Women’s Group” or an individual leader. Each one keeps its own contact details.
How to Edit or Remove an Organiser
On the Events > Organisers tab you’ll see a list of all organisers with their name, email and phone.
- To edit: click the organiser’s name, update the details, and save. The change applies everywhere that organiser is used.
- To remove: click the red delete icon at the end of that organiser’s row.
Note: updating an organiser’s details (for example a new phone number) automatically updates every event that uses that organiser, so you don’t need to edit each event individually.
How to Assign an Organiser to an Event
- Go to Events and open the event you want to update (or create a new one).
- In the Basic Info section, find the Organiser dropdown.
- Click the dropdown and select the organiser you want from the list. You can start typing a name to search.
- Save the event.
The selected organiser’s contact details are now shown on that event in the app.
How to Change the Organiser on an Existing Event
- Open the event and go to the Organiser dropdown in Basic Info.
- Click the clear button next to the current organiser, or simply pick a different one from the list.
- Save the event.
Because each event points to an organiser you’ve created, switching the contact details for an event is as simple as choosing a different organiser. There’s no need to retype names, emails or phone numbers.
Tips
- Create your organisers before building events, so they’re ready to select in the dropdown.
- Use clear, recognisable names (a ministry or a person), since this is what you’ll pick from the list.
- One organiser can be reused across many events; update it once and every event stays current.
