Change Your App Colours and Layout

The Design screen lets you customise the look of your church app by changing the colours of the header and tab bar, choosing a menu style, and setting how feature lists are displayed. A live phone preview on the right shows your changes as you make them, so you can match the app to your church branding before you save.

Open the Design screen

  1. In the left side menu, under Customisation, go to Design.
  2. The Design editor opens with the Global Styles tab selected and a phone preview on the right.

Change your app colours

On the Global Styles tab you can set the colours for the app header and the bottom tab bar. Each colour has a colour swatch you can click to pick a shade, plus a box where you can type or paste a hex code (for example #04aceb).

  1. Make sure the Global Styles tab is selected.
  2. Under Header Style, set Header background color and Header text color.
  3. Under Tab Style, set the Tab color, Icon color, Selected Tab color and Selected Icon color.
  4. Watch the phone preview on the right update as you change each colour.
  5. When you are happy, select Save Styles.
  • To set an exact colour, type the hex code (a 7 character value starting with #) into the text box next to the colour swatch.
  • The selected colours apply to the tab or icon that is currently active in the app, so you can make the active item stand out from the rest.

Choose your menu style

The menu style controls the look of the app’s main menu.

  1. On the Global Styles tab, find Left Menu Style.
  2. Choose one of the options: Default, Dark, Dark no icons, Light, or Light no icons.
  3. Select Save Styles to apply your choice.
  • The “no icons” options show menu items as text only, without icons.

Switch the layout for features

The Features tab lets you choose how certain feature screens are laid out. You can set the layout style separately for each feature.

  1. Select the Features tab.
  2. Choose the feature you want to change: Location, Sermons or Ministries.
  3. Pick a layout style: Default or Square.
  4. Select Save Styles to apply.
  • Set the style for one feature, save, then repeat for the others. Each feature keeps its own layout.

Save your changes

  1. Select Save Styles at the bottom of the editor.
  2. A confirmation message appears once your styles have been saved.

Your colour, menu, and layout choices now apply to your church app.
