Adding a Ministry

Ministries (also called groups) let you list your church’s ministries in your app so members can find them and get in touch. Each ministry has a title, a description, contact details, an optional link, and an image. This guide covers how to add a ministry and manage its details.

Add a ministry

  1. In the left side menu, go to Ministries.
  2. Select Add Item in the top right.
  3. In the Item title field, enter a name for the ministry. The title is required and must be at least 4 characters long.
  4. Select Save. The ministry is created and you are taken to its details page so you can fill in the rest.

New ministries start unpublished, so nothing appears in your app until you publish it (see below).

Edit ministry details

On the ministry’s details page, the Basic Info section holds the main fields.

  1. Check the Title. You can change it here at any time. It is required and must be at least 4 characters long.
  2. Enter a Phone number for the ministry’s contact or leader (optional).
  3. Enter an Email address for the ministry’s contact or leader (optional).
  4. In Ministry URL, add a link for the ministry, such as a sign-up page or web page (optional).
  5. In the Description editor, write what the ministry is about. This field is required.
  6. Select Save.

Add an image

The image appears with the ministry in your app.

  1. On the right side of the details page, find the image upload area labelled Wide 1920×1080.
  2. Drag an image into the upload area, or select it to choose a file from your device.
  • For best results, use a wide image at around 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Set the display order

The Configuration section controls where the ministry sits in the list.

  1. In the Location order field, enter a number. This sorts the display of multiple ministries in the mobile app.
  2. Select Save.

Publish the ministry

  1. On the right side of the details page, use the toggle that reads Unpublished.
  2. Switch it on so it reads Published. The ministry now appears in your app.

To hide a ministry again, switch the toggle back to Unpublished. In the Ministries list, each ministry shows a Published or Unpublished tag so you can see its status at a glance.
