Sermons let you publish video and audio messages so your app and web users can watch or listen at home, on the bus or in the car. This guide shows you how to add a sermon and fill in its details.
Add a sermon
- In the left side menu, go to Sermons. If you do not see it, enable the Sermons feature on the Features page first.
- Click Add Item.
- Enter a title (at least four characters) and click Save. The sermon opens so you can add the rest of the details.
Fill in the details
- Check or update the Title.
- Add your sermon notes in the Description editor. You can format the text and add links.
- Add any Bible passages under Verse references.
- Choose an Author. If the author is not listed, add a new one from the authors button next to the field.
- Set the Date.
- If your church has more than one location, choose a Campus so the sermon can be filtered by campus.
Add the media
- Paste a link to your audio file in the Audio URL field. If the link is in the correct format, a preview appears on the right.
- Paste a link to your video in the Video URL field. Supported platforms are YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook. A preview appears on the right when the link is valid.
- Upload a wide image (1920×1080) using the image area on the right. This makes the sermon look better in your app.
Publish
- Use the Published toggle to make the sermon visible in your app, or leave it as Unpublished while you finish editing.
- Click Save.
- If a YouTube or Facebook video has a copyright claim, it may not play on other sites or apps. In that case you may only be able to use video of the preaching.
- Sermons can also be grouped into a series. To do this, create the series under Media and add the sermon to it.
